RAISING AWARENESS STATEMENT BY NAOMI HOUSE
NAOMI House has a burden to “raise awareness” for Native American Children in need. Underneath the resilience, and beauty of childhood lies extreme peril and often unspeakable trauma. We believe that it is important to shed light, to the best of our ability, to the realities of growing up indigenous in America today. So much brokenness, darkness, pain, hurt and injustice. We have a responsibility to give them a voice. If we don’t speak up for them, who will? If we don’t give them hope, who will?
A place like NAOMI House is actually needed on most reservations in America. In fact, tonight there is a child in need of a place to be safe and will have nowhere to go. Many people just don’t know we exist, or why, and we have a powerful story of HOPE to tell.
MISSION FIELD IN ARIZONA
NAOMI House is located in Northern Arizona. This is the home started by Linda Thompson in 1995. When Linda opened NAOMI House, it consisted of the single family dwelling, which is still used for housing the children and a barn. Later, the adjacent property to the west was bought and the Ministry Center was constructed on it. Bunk houses were added, a large playground and the house for staff at the northeast corner of the property.
EXPANDING TO SOUTH DAKOTA
There is a need for safe houses like NAOMI on different Reservations across America. They strongly believe the Lord is leading them to reproduce into different locations, as well as expand in Arizona. Therefore, they are in the very beginning stages of establishing a non-profit in South Dakota.
Mission Venture Ministries is looking for those who would like to help NAOMI house in this new outreach venture.
As Jesus said:
“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work. Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps may rejoice together.”
John 4:34-36

PRAYER REQUEST
Please pray with us that the people we serve would be open to the gospel; that those who do not know Christ as their personal Savior would; and that those who do know Christ would be encouraged in their walk with Him.
Pray that the love of Christ would be shown to all who we come in touch with.
Pray that all those involved in reaching the lost would be strengthened by the Word of God on a daily basis as they minister to those that so desperately need to know the Savior.
