ENCOURAGING WORDS FROM THE LORD FOR A NEW BEGINNING

ENCOURAGING WORDS - 2024

At the beginning of a New Year many people make new resolutions and looked upon them as the chance for a fresh start and hope for better results in whatever they have set their goal to accomplish.

However, we must understand that this time of year is not the only time for a new beginning; every day is an opportunity to start anew. Consequently, new beginnings offer a chance to leave behind the old and embrace the new (Galatians 2:20).

During these times, it is natural to feel uncertain or anxious; however, the Bible offers hope and encouragement through the word of God. It reminds us that we have the opportunity to start again with God’s grace and guidance. Whether you are facing a major life change or simply seeking a fresh start, the following verses offer comfort, wisdom, and encouragement.

One such verse is found in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This is an important verse that reminds us to trust in God’s plan and rely on His wisdom knowing that He will guide us towards the right path.

Another powerful verse is found in Isaiah 43:18-19, telling us to: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

This verse reassures us that God is always doing a new thing in our lives, even in the midst of difficult circumstances He is making new ways when we least expect them. Therefore, leave the past behind and embrace the new thing that God is doing in your life. Have faith, and trust that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

God tells us: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

In this verse we are reminded that even when we cannot see the way forward, God has a plan for our life.

Throughout Scripture we are reminded that with God’s grace, we can find forgiveness, healing, and a fresh start. His words encourage us to trust in God’s plan for our life and to remain steadfast in our faith as we navigate new ways. Remember that God is with you every step, and with His guidance you can embrace new opportunities and find hope in fresh starts.

As you embark on a new beginning, hold fast to these scriptural promises. Let them uplift your spirit and strengthen your resolve to embrace new opportunities with confidence and hope.

When you feel weighed down by your mistakes, the Bible offers hope and assurance that you can begin again with a clean start. Starting afresh often involves letting go of the past and seeking forgiveness and healing. The following verses remind us of God’s grace and His willingness to give us a clean start when we repent and seek His forgiveness.

  • “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
  • “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).
  • “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
  • “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).

Allow these verses to penetrate, renew your spirit and remind you of the freedom that comes with a fresh start in God. Accept His forgiveness and begin again with a clean start.

As you set out on your journey towards a new beginning, may these Bible verses serve as a source of inspiration and strength, remembering that with God on your side, anything is possible (Philippians 4:13).

Let go of the past, remembering that embracing new opportunities requires courage, faith, and a willingness to step out of our comfort zones. These next verses remind us to trust in God’s guidance, to seek His wisdom, and to have faith as we step into new opportunities.

  • “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
  • “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

As you begin this New Year, embrace the promise of new beginnings; trust in God’s plan for your life, and let His Word guide you in your journey towards a brighter future.

Our prayer is that this will be a breakthrough year in your life that you will look back on and remember this time right now as a turning point in your walk with God. May He richly bless you beyond what you can think and imagine.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Wishing you a blessed and victorious New Year!
